How can I purchase your products?

We are proudly represented through the industry’s broadest network of dedicated distributors across the United States and Canada. To find a distributor near you, click here.

Where can I find pricing and availability?

Our customers are serviced by one of our dedicated distributors. Please contact your preferred distributor directly for specific pricing and inventory levels. However, if you have a specific question regarding our products, one of our knowledgeable Customer Service Representatives would be more than happy to assist. How will I know what my freight charges are prior to placing an order?

An HC Customer Service Rep can provide you with a freight quote prior to shipping. Freight charges will vary based on order size and shipping zone. Freight charges will be added to the invoice at the time of shipping.

How do I know what “zone” applies to my business? Is it based on my shipping or corporate office location?

The zone is determined based on the shipping location. Therefore, if your business has multiple locations, your zone number could vary. There are currently only three freight zones which Customer Service can clarify.

Will there be any changes to the claim process?

If your freight arrives damaged, it is important to accept the shipment in order to document the claim correctly. Once received in your warehouse, contact an HC Customer Service Rep immediately so the claim can be processed and adjustments can be made.

What are your office hours for Customer Service?

Our Customer Service Team is available from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Eastern Standard Time. You can call them during regular business hours at 800-225-7712 or send them an email (customersupport@hc-companies.com) and they will return your message as soon as they return to the office.

What if containers in my shipment are damaged upon arrival?

Contact our Customer Service Team immediately so we can quickly rectify the situation. Please have your order number ready so they can find your order as quickly as possible to begin the claims process.

Is there a way for me to easily track my orders?

At this time, there is no online tool which will enable you to track your individual order with The HC Companies. As long as you have an order number simply contact our Customer Service Team and they’ll be able to easily provide you with that information.

I’m a distributor and need access to the portal – who do I contact?

For access to the distributor portal, please contact our Marketing Communications Manager, Craig Ruvere, at cruvere@hc-companies.com. Provide your name, title, phone number, email address and company name. In the subject line simply put Distributor Portal Access.

Where are your containers manufactured?

The HC Companies has manufacturing facilities across North America in order to fulfill the needs of our customers quickly and efficiently. Locations include:

  • Burlington, Canada
  • Middlefield, Ohio
  • Elyria, Ohio
  • Sebring, Florida
  • Sparks, Nevada.

How can I obtain an actual sample of one of the containers I see online?

Due to inventory shortages, we are not shipping product samples at this time.

Can The HC Companies do custom printing on their containers?

Yes, we can custom print on our greenhouse and nursery containers. Our printing is done in-house directly on your selected containers with traditional silkscreen printing using films and screens. We also offer custom design services with your provided branding. Please note that custom printing is not available on all containers (this will be noted on the individual product pages). We also offer adhesive labeling services for SKU numbers and other product information.

Do you offer custom colors for your containers?

We offer a wide array of popular standard colors for the majority of our containers. You’ll find what standard colors a container is available in on their individual product pages. If you do not see any options, it’s only available in the photographed color. We do have the capability to provide customer colors, but they are based on a minimum quantity order, require additional production time and would need to be discussed with a sales representative.

Do you use recycled materials in your manufacturing?

The HC Companies believes in utilizing every last bit of material when manufacturing containers to eliminate waste and the impact on our environment. Our team of material specialists utilizes recycled materials and our own re-grind materials that would otherwise go to a landfill with minimal variation in the finished product. Read more here.

How and where are your environmentally-friendly containers made?

Our EcoGrow® and FiberGrow® environmentally-friendly containers are manufactured in our plant in Burlington, Canada. The process includes using recycled materials (such as newspaper or newsprint) in a closed-loop water recycling system, which eliminates wastewater discharge. Our EcoGrow containers are certified for organic use in the United States and Canada. Learn more here.

Does The HC Companies go by any other brand name?

The HC Companies is proud to represent many admired legacy brands throughout the horticultural industry. Our brands include Dillen®, ITML®, ProCal®, Listo, Akro-Mils Lawn & Garden® and Planters’ Pride®. While you will still see their names in our catalogs, on our website and even on some of our containers, the parent company of those brands is The HC Companies. Do you offer tours of your manufacturing facility?

Our customers are always welcome to schedule a tour of our facilities. However, we do not offer such visits to the general public. We have created this short video which provides a glimpse at how and where our containers are manufactured.
