New Year, New Growth: Plant Tips & Tricks for a Thriving Year Ahead

The start of the new year is a great opportunity to grow – in life and in the garden! With a little care and attention, your plants will reward you with beauty and vitality throughout the year.
1. Think Sustainably: To start the new year fresh, begin incorporating eco-friendly practices into your gardening routine. Use biodegradable pots, recycle water for irrigation, or even begin composting kitchen scraps to reduce waste while nourishing your plants.
2. Refresh Your Soil: Just as we need a fresh start, so do our plants. Over time, soil can lose its nutrients, leading to less vigorous growth. Start the year by repotting your plants with fresh, nutrient-rich soil, to give them the jumpstart they need to thrive this year.
3. Reassess Lighting Needs: With the beauty of winter comes shorter days, which can affect your indoor plants. Make sure they’re getting enough sunlight by moving them closer to windows or supplementing with grow lights. You can do this throughout the year, as the seasons change, to ensure optimal light to keep your plants happy!
